About the website

I maitain this site for a few reasons. In no particular order:

• I want to improve my writing skills and I enjoy having a space that “pressures” me to write.
• It’s a way for me to tinker with technology.
  • This website is built with hugo (using the hugo bear blog theme) and served via sourcehut pages.
• I quite enjoy reading about other people’s experiences, challenges, perspectives, interests, goals, adventures etc, on the internet. I figure I should play my part in keeping the personal blog / website alive on the WWW.
  • I also want to contribute to the small web.

What I used to do

For work

Let’s do this rapid-fire style: built / fixed / tuned bicycles, Chick-fil-A, McDonalds, helped a small hobby shop expand and build a skate shop, YMCA camp counselor, supermarket Deli, Target, Best Buy, tried to start a consulting business, Apple Retail, IT at a public school, IT at various private schools, and a few startups in the security space.

What I currently do

For work

I’m a part-time Support Technician doing general IT work at a managed service provider.

For school

I’m a non-traditional student at MassBay Community College pursuing an Associate of Science in Life Sciences. My academic trajectory includes plans to complete a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry, followed by medical school.

What I want to be doing

I want to specialize in Neurology (neurodegenerative disease management) or Psychaitry (addiction medicine / psychoanalysis).
